We invite your prayers and palanca, especially for the men to whom we will minister ... there is still plenty of room for more guests to come ... into the fields, into the quiet, holding His hand.

Palanca: please be generous with your palanca for the men who are called. Palanca may be sent to any team member, carried to Josephite Pastoral Center, or sent to Ed Hughes, 102 North Fairfax St, Falls Church, VA 22046

Mañanita will be at the Josephite Pastoral Center, Sunday, April 1, at 7:00 a.m., 1200 Varnum Street, NE, Washington, DC, across the street from Providence Hospital. Gather at 6:45 a.m. toward the far south end on the front of the Josephite Center. Joe Aponte will meet us and escort us to the Mañanita area. Chuck Tiso will be his contact on the outside. We'll be on the St. Josephite grounds, so we won't disturb neighbors.

Closing: There will be NO MASS at Closing. While the Closing itself will be in the Josephite Chapel, food for the Closing Reception should be brought to the Community Room on the Basement level. There will be signs directing you to the correct door so you will not need to climb the steps to the front door just to go back downstairs once inside. Parking is available on the streets around the Josephite Center, as well as some spaces on the property in front and on the right side (13th Street side).
Please be seated by 2:45; the Closing will begin at 3:00 p.m.. Please bring heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages to share. See you there!

Directions from Jack Finnerty...

  • However you get there, get to I 395N. Follow I 395 across the Potomac, past L’Enfant and Maine Street exits.
  • Take the next exit to the Senate and C and D Streets. The sign also says something about the Tunnel – that’s what you want, the Tunnel. Stay to the right at the exit and you will go right onto it
  • As you go through the Tunnel, stay in the two left lanes all the way to the end. It ends at New York Avenue, Rt 50. Go right onto New York Ave.
  • Stay in far right lane, go about 50 yards and bear Right onto M Street immediately after crossing New Jersey Ave.
  • Stay on M Street about two blocks, stay in left hand lane.
  • At North Capital Street, I believe the first traffic light, go left onto N. Capital.
  • Follow N. Capital for about 1 ½ miles to Michigan Avenue
  • Go Right on Michigan Avenue and just follow that road for a couple of miles to 13th Street, N.E..
  • Go Left on 13th Street, follow for several blocks, to Varnum – and there it is.
  • Park in driveway
  • To return, go back down 12th Street to Michigan Ave, go Right and follow to N. Capital Street, Go left. Follow N. Capital to H Street (look for signs for I 395). Follow I 395 signs on H St until I 395
