Committees are organized to help to carry out the work of the Movement. Coordinating the committees is the Secretariat. The leader of the Secretariat is the Lay Director.

The School of Leaders are Christians who live what is fundamental to being a Christian. They seek continual improvement in themselves, in the Cursillo Movement, and in the environments in which they find themselves. Their unity in this effort is cultivated in a climate of Group Reunion. School Meetings are open to all Cursillistas.

A proper perspective of the relationship between the School of Leaders and the Secretariat (whose members come from the School of Leaders) is that the Secretariat provides direction to the School, and the School provides input to the Secretariat.
