124th Women's Cursillo

Act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly
with our God." (Micah 6: 8)
These are the words Micah used to tell his people
what it was God wanted from them. This is all He asks of any of us. It is the
hope of the women who will serve on the 124th Women's Cursillo to bring these
words to life for our sisters; to let them know that what God asks is possible
when we are willing to open our hearts to His unconditional love for us. Then
reaching out to others in our environments - to act justly and love tenderly -
is easier to accomplish. Our team began its formation in February (with only one
snow cancellation so far), and it is clear that the Spirit is with us. These
women and this gentleman are ready to help build the Kingdom here in the
Arlington Diocese:

We invite your prayers and palanca, especially for the women
to whom we will minister ...
Palanca: please be generous with your palanca for the women who are
called. Palanca may be sent to any team member, carried to Josephite
Pastoral Center, or sent to Carol Poplin, 2516 N. Custis Rd, Arlington, VA
22201.
Mañanita will be at the Josephite Pastoral Center, Sunday, April 29,
at 7:00 a.m., 1200 Varnum Street, NE, Washington, DC, across the street from
Providence Hospital. Gather at 6:45 a.m. toward the far south end on the
front of the Josephite Center. One of the Team will meet us and escort us to
the Mañanita area. We'll be on the St. Josephite grounds, so we won't
disturb neighbors.
Closing April 29: There will be NO MASS at Closing. While the Closing
itself will be in the Josephite Chapel, food for the Closing Reception
should be brought to the Community Room on the Basement level. There will be
signs directing you to the correct door so you will not need to climb the
steps to the front door - just to go back downstairs once inside. Parking is
available on the streets around the Josephite Center, as well as some spaces
on the property in front and on the right side (13th Street side).
Time: 3:00 PM Please be seated by 2:45 PM in the Chapel. Please bring heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages to
share. See you there!
