What is a Cursillo Weekend?

A Cursillo Weekend is a three day retreat.  It begins with a silent retreat Thursday night through Friday morning. For the rest of the Weekend, you’ll hear short talks on a variety of topics from faith perspectives of team members just like you. During the days, you’ll discuss each of the talks and your impressions with three or four other people seated with you.

The Weekend also offers meditation and reconciliation time as well as community meals (the food is great - prepared and served with loving hands). Two spiritual directors, at least one of them a priest, will be present as team members throughout the weekend. And there’s a lot of music and singing – if you have an instrument, bring it along!

Men and women have separate retreats because the way we communicate is different. This is a safe but challenging weekend. We strive to provide an environment that helps you to grow in Christ’s Love.

After the weekend your sponsor will help you connect for weekly faith sharing (we call this Group Reunion).  You can also meet with others in your parish and the diocese.

Sponsor Registration

Make a Friend.  Be a Friend. Bring that Friend to Christ.

All those wishing to attend a Cursillo Weekend should have a Sponsor.  Sponsors are a living witness to their Candidates.

Candidate Registration

Those wishing to attend a Cursillo Weekend are called "Candidates".  If you wish to experience an encounter with Christ and yourself, complete a registration form.  If you do not have a Sponsor, one will be found for you.
